This production was directed by Ms. Janna Ziegler at Northwest Missouri State University
in November 1999.
Design Concept - The directorial concept given to me was one of humanity’s shallowness and deceitfulness. I decided to further this concept through the use of a cool color palette and a lack of form-sculpting lighting fixtures on stage. Many of the colors used were very unsaturated blues and lavenders. This I feels helped to emphasize the characters coolness and uncaring attitudes through one another. Most of the productions illumination came from fixtures in the FOH position. This created a flatter, more two-dimensional lighting which as well highlighted the characters personality.
