This production was directed by Dr. David Krasner at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in October 1996.

Design Concept - The shared concept for this production was one of isolation, suffering, greed and decadence.  I was able to support all of these ideas through my lighting.  The idea of characters being isolated from one another because of their disease was a simple matter of control allocation.  I felt that the suffering and greed concepts were polar opposites of one another.  To show suffering I tried to use unnatural angles for lighting to over accentuate the makeup used to portray people as sick.  Greed was portrayed by simply creating a very bright, flat lighting.  The concept idea of decadence was the most interesting to light as I used highly varied and intense color palettes to mimic the club scene of the late 70’s and early 80’s.
